A Simple Percentage Calculator for Everyday Work

Percentages express a proportion out of one hundred. They appear in discounts, tax calculations, performance reports and budgeting.

Find a percentage of a number

Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 20% of 150 equals 30.

Discount example

If an item costs 150 and has a 20% discount, the discount is 30 and the final price is 120 before any other fees.

Percentage change is different

To calculate change between an old and new value, divide the difference by the original value and multiply by 100.
